The E-Cigarettes Exports from Shenzhen up 35.8% for First Half of 2023Arvin Peh
In the first half of 2023, Guangdong Province exported CNY 35.2 billion of e-cigarettes. Among them, Shenzhen exported CNY 26.2 billion of e-cigarettes, an increase of 35.8% yoy.
On 25 July, Shenzhen Publishing released the import and export data of Shenzhen for the first half of 2023, which listed that Shenzhen exported CNY 26.2 billion of electronic cigarettes, an increase of 35.8%.
The China Customs official website showed in the first half of 2023 Guangdong Province exported CNY 35.2 billion of e-cigarettes, an increase of 48.5 per cent over the previous year.

“In the first half of 2023, Shenzhen’s cumulative imports and exports totalled CNY 1.68 trillion, up 3.7% year-on-year, faster than the national average. Among them, exports were CNY 1.05 trillion, up 14.4 per cent; imports were CNY 628.49 billion.
Overall, Shenzhen’s imports and exports in the first half of the year maintained a steady growth trend, economic resilience, potential, vitality, and long-term positive fundamentals have not changed. Especially in June, imported and exported CNY 322.97 billion, an increase of 5.3%, in foreign trade.
Electromechanical products accounted for more than 70% of exports, labour-intensive products exports grew faster. In the first half of the year, Shenzhen exported 784.88 billion yuan of electromechanical products, an increase of 9%, accounting for 74.9% of the total value of Shenzhen’s exports in the same period (the same below). Lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, solar cells and other products were exported CNY 31.94 billion, CNY 8.07 billion, CNY 1.39 billion, an increase of 36.3%, 943.2% and 31.8% respectively. During the same period, the export of labour-intensive products 112.84 billion yuan, an increase of 33.9%, accounting for 10.8%; seven categories of labour-intensive products have maintained growth and export value of more than 10 billion yuan. In addition, exports of electronic cigarettes 26.2 billion yuan, an increase of 35.8%.“
