The marketing manager of ELFBAR made the first public announcement of underage protection program, the Lighthouse Guardian Program, at the conference.
ELFBAR revealed its upgraded Lighthouse Guardian Program on the “Vaping landscape and emerging challenges: sustainability focus” conference discussion at the World Vape Show Dubai 2023.
Joe Dunne, the director of Hale Vaping Ireland, Jamal Bashir, the chairman of ANDS Group, Fred Roeder, the managing director of the Consumer Choice Centre, and the marketing manager of ELFBAR attended the conference. The representative of ELFBAR made public announcement of the upgraded underage protection program, the Lighthouse Guardian Program.
The ELFBAR representative voiced that as a noted e-cigarette brand, ELFBAR has the obligation to assume social responsibility and pay close attention to the protection of minors. In addition, with the development of compliance, the responsibility needs to be further implemented.
After half a year of implementation, ELFBAR officially announced the upgraded Lighthouse Guardian Program at the conference. The four-protection plan is a multi-dimensional program that prevent minors from hearing, seeing, buying, or rebuying e-cigarettes, which demonstrates ELFBAR’s determination and confidence in protecting minors.
According to the representative, the Lighthouse Guardian Program will develop a full circle system with standardized internal and external processes, and work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure that minors stay away from vaping products.

“For hearing, we have a social media guideline that prohibits employees from marketing to minors. The official ELFBAR social media channels will focus primarily on communicating positive messages. And we will manage our online and offline communication channels to safeguard the health of minors.”
While introducing the Lighthouse Guardian Program, the representative said ELFBAR is committed to minimizing the exposure of e-cigarette advertisements to minors both online and offline. This includes:
- l Control and monitor social media channels to ensure they do not promote e-cigarette use, particularly in online communities of minors.
- l Offline promotions and advertisements should be kept away from areas where minors congregate, such as schools.
- l Warning labels on ELFBAR packaging.
- l ELFBAR’s official website has an age restriction to prevent minors from visiting.
ELFBAR calls for and encourages more retailers to join the Lighthouse Guardian Program. For the cooperation with retailers, ELFBAR will provide training, and warning signs, posters and other materials emphasizing the importance of protecting minors to prevent the sale of e-cigarettes to minors.
ELFBAR is actively seeking the support of the authorities to weave the underage protection in cyberspace through advanced technologies to defend against unauthorized channels and counterfeit devices. “To prevent counterfeit products from reaching minors, we are working to educate retailers that they are the last line of defense to protect consumers,” said the ELFBAR representative.
In addition, ELFBAR emphasizes the importance of practicing minor protection at the beginning of product design. ELFBAR has already received positive feedback from the launch of e-cigarettes with child lock function at the pilot market in Germany.
In the future, ELFBAR will continue to be committed to protecting minors from the harm of nicotine products, and proactively leading the e-cigarette industry to develop in a safer and more sustainable direction, creating a pure environment for the young generation.
After the presentation, the participants expressed the appreciation of ELFBAR’s Lighthouse Guardian Program and believed that the Program will serve as a model to guide the industry, fulfilling their social responsibility and creating positive environment for minors.
